Reynardware 0.6 Coming Out Soon

After a long time off of this project due to personal reasons, I finally am getting back into coding again. Sorry to the people which I could not answer their emails. I rarely write back, so I apologize for that...

The big news!!!! I am happy to announce that Reynardware 0.6 will be coming out in about a month or so. The code has been completely rewritten in C++ instead of just C and it will be using QT. The code is much improved, cleaner, has Unicode support, and by nature cross platform. Why cross platform, you might ask since Incredimail is only Window based? Because I want too!

I am taking "features" suggestions for Reynardware now, so if you want a feature please let me know!

Well, so far so good, version 0.53 is stable

Today, version 0.53 hits 200 downloads! I have not received any emails on this versions problems yet. If anyone finds problems with this version, I encourage you to email me so I can fix them. If you have any comments on my conveter, please let me know. As you know, I love simple "thank you!" emails :)

Here are some of my ideas for a next version. (1) Make the "converted" eml directories a configurable location instead of at the root of the incredimail databases. (2) Maybe converting directly into a mbox format for thunderbird users. (3) Open up the directory when the converting has been completed. Oh...a big one I think I will start working on unicode support.

Third time is a charm, version 0.53 is released!

Thanks to Peter Mauser, he found a memory leak in my program. I goofed on the sqlite functions. I thought I could just use the reset function, but in the end I had to close then prepare a new sql statement. I also found a couple of more string and other minor problems, so I also corrected them. The new process directory function is just giving me a hard time. I hope this is the last time I release this software for a while. In the near future, I am going to take my time and just going to rewrite that function.

If anyone has problems, just let me know!

Ok, lets try this again. Version 0.52 is out for everyone's use!

Ok, lets try this again... I uploaded version 0.52 to the download area. I found several mistakes in version 0.51 which I should have caught (see Issue #10). New in version 0.52 I added a small search function which will try to detect the default Incredimail database location. I think this little feature will help users. I tested this version out fairly well, so I hope there are no more outstanding problems.

Opps...initial version 0.5 has problems

Ok, maybe version 0.5 was not quite ready yet. There were some huge string problems in dealing with the export databases and filenames. I correct Issues 8 and 9 and tested the converter out (a little) better. It still feels like I am missing something, but in the next couple of week I will look in it.

In the meantime, I corrected all the problems, which I know of and released version 0.51.

Version 0.5 is finally out!

Finally!!! After several months I got a chance to update my converter. Reynardware converter version 0.5 now supports the latest Incredimail version 2 format. It also support the old Xe format as well. I have not throughly tested out this version, so I consider this release to be like a beta. I am still keeping version 0.3 around since I know it works great with the Xe format. I hope people enjoy some of the new features of version 0.5.

On this note, I apologize to everyone which I did not answer their email. I try to make an effort to answer all my email, but sometimes I forget to look at my gmail account for months!!!! So again, I do apologize to everyone.

New Blog for Reynadware News

Hi!  I have decided that my home page on my code.google.com page was cluttered.  So, I decided to create a new blog which will help me keep my little news updates more organized.  I hope this is a better way for publishing news and my current efforts on the Reynardware Incredimail converter.
